Finally found ways to streamline my news feed on Facebook.  Try the extensions Social Fixer and F.B. Purity for your browser.  You can eliminate all sorts of useless feeds as well as cleaning up the news feed itself so that you only see new posts instead of having to wade through everything trying to remember where you left off.

Discovery Club went to the new zoo at Pinawella beside the elephant orphanage last Sunday.  I didn't join them, but now I wish I had.  Here is a picture taken by my friend Yvonne:

Adult male leopard roaming freely in a very large enclosure.  People are behind glass in a concrete bunker.  Animals are free while people are caged.  As it should be.
Apparently, it is very well done with the animals having lots of space to rove.  They only stock indigenous species thus preserving many animals that are becoming endangered.  Thank goodness they are not trapping animals from elsewhere.

Speaking of animals, we had a monkey visitation the other day.  Not too many, but they attacked the giant ginger growing in the neighbour's yard.  It was amazing to watch them.  They went for the new shoots which they stripped and ate the tender heart.  Even the babies knew how to do it.

My Mother's coach's whistle continues to keep them away from my place.

Otherwise, live goes on as usual.  We had Film Club the other day.  The film was Between Strangers staring Sophia Loren and directed by her son Roberto Ponti.  It was very slow moving and despite the fact that it was only 1.5 hours in length, it felt like it would never end.  Sophia Loren, however, was fabulous.  She really is a great actor.  Shows how wasted she was in all that studio schlock she had to put out all those years.

I have been reviewing the Buddhist crossword book created by the Kawasakis.  Quite enjoyable and I am learning a bit about Buddhism.
