Well, I don't know if this idea of adopting Billy-Balls is such a good idea. Yesterday afternoon, I hear yowling, thinking it was Billy. I came downstairs and some black cat runs out of my office and out the window. Meanwhile, Dharma is hunkered down beside the soup tureens on the side board. She obviously thought that it was better to stay well out of the black cat's way. These guys must have some kind of communication system. Every cat welcome. Not true.
Billy showed up this morning. Had a feed and disappeared again. He must be living somewhere, because he is very well fed.
Finally got around to cleaning my fridge. There was a perfectly frozen gecko in the freezer. I thought of doing the experiment like you do with a frozen frog. When you thaw it, it comes to life. But I abandoned that idea and just put it in the garden. If in fact it does do a Lazarus, it can go back to its natural habitat. Although, I think that may be my kitchen.
The rain continues unabated. Plus the temperature is climbing again, so it is hot and humid. Not complaining. Just saying.
