Well here is one for the books! The cat saga continues. As my friend Pamela has pointed out, I was normal 3 cats ago. Now with 5, things are really hairy:
- While cleaning all the cat fur off the various covers I have around the house, I discovered a huge ant infestation in the driver's toilet/broom closet. After hosing everything down and spraying tea tree oil everywhere, I slipped on the wet back step and bruised my tail bone.
- While getting into the shower, 3 days after the first fall, I was distracted and fell again. This time I managed to get a huge black bruise all down the right side of my back. I went slightly into shock and began shouting for Veenitha having forgotten that I locked my bedroom from the inside in order to keep the cats out while I showered. So I had to stagger to my feet to open the door. I made it and on to the bed just before passing out. Made it just in time and did not actually faint.
- We are back to litter as Baby has had her neutering surgery. While emptying the litter box into the jungle behind the house this morning, a leech attached to my foot between my toes, and now I am having a good old bleed.
Aah, the joys of being a cat mom!

Other than cat adventures, nothing much to report except that I am making my own cocoa powder. My vegetable man dropped off some cacao fruit right to the house. He refused to take money even. How lucky am I?

Classes are proceeding apace. Most classes are suspended for the next one or two weeks as it is coming up to Sinhala/Tamil New Year (Aurudu) when everything stops for around 10 days. So it will be reading and watching TV to keep entertained.
